nPlan, Suffolk, and AI-led hospital construction

How Suffolk used AI risk management and forecasting to construct a new extension for a major Boston hospital

Boston-based Suffolk is one of the largest privately held building contractors in the US. In 2015, Suffolk won the contract to construct an extension for one of Boston’s most famous hospitals. The project required Suffolk to construct an 11-story building with over 550,000 square feet of space for new hospital beds, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and an innovative hybrid operating suite with a trolley MRI capable of riding a massive steel rail on the ceiling. With such a complex project on its hands, Suffolk opted to bring in its AI risk management and forecasting partner: nPlan.
